~1 min readThe role of the IT Support Assistant will be an integral part of the IT department, which is committed to supporting various programs and staff, ensuring services reflect best practices, recipient satisfaction and an overall focus on continuous quality improvement. Serving as 1st level support, this position will be expected to help users resolve any issues and escalate when required. The IT Support Assistant will work with a customer service focus.
- →Assist with day-to-day operations of the dept, including but not limited to supporting and installing Windows, software and hardware.
- →Managing our users in Active Directory and Office 365.
- →Participate in planned projects to facilitate upgrades and replace systems.
- →Provide support to our various locations throughout the 5 boroughs.
- →Able to manage to tasks and projects and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks with limited supervision.
- →Willingness to support program initiatives as needed and outside of standard working hours.
- →Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Analytical ability to verify the accuracy of the information entered by other departments to troubleshoot technical issues.
- A+ certification is a plus.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate or College degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting computer systems, with a strong background and interest in helpdesk support.
- Experience in supporting Windows PCs with a strong knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365.
- Have a valid NYS Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
