Responsibilities
~1 min readAs the Logistics Management Specialist, you will be tasked with developing, directing, and synchronizing all relevant logistics elements into a single cohesive support strategy for one of our largest US Military programs, in conjunction with the Program Manager and various other stakeholders.
- Developing and analyzing data to determine logistics objectives
- Identifying support requirements and the strategies used to meet them
- Establishing relationship between support system and material system
- Developing total Integrated Logistics Support Plan, evaluating plan success, and implementing corrective actions
- Planning for future stages of acquisition and transfer into operational use
- Coordinating with internal technical experts and external partners, including working closely with counterparts within the US Army’s procurement offices
- Developing documentation and CDRLs to support systems in production and sustainment
- Experience with resource management in a defense context
- Comfort addressing complex problems not immediately amenable to established resolution strategies
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interpret specialized, technical documentation pertaining to program
- Experience in Integrated Logistics Support for government procurement and sustainment
- Prior service as a Logistics Specialist with the US Military
- Prior service in military procurement office (min 5 years desired)
