CBCL is seeking a Mechanical Technologist to join our Buildings Engineering team in Moncton or Saint John, NB!

YOUR ROLE WITH CBCL

As our ideal candidate, you bring experience in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, building automation and controls, commissioning, and building systems design. You are a proactive and motivated professional who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable building solutions that prioritize client satisfaction. In this role, you will:

  • Prepare contract documents for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and design professionals across multiple disciplines.
  • Provide project updates and technical support to Project Managers.
  • Conduct site visits, field reviews, and construction administration activities.
  • Plan, document, and carry out commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Prepare technical RFQ documentation, evaluate bid submissions, and review vendor documentation following contract award.


WHAT YOU CAN OFFER US

  • A diploma in Engineering Technology preferred;
  • One (1) to ten (10) years of experience;
  • Experience working in a consulting environment would be considered an asset;
  • Thorough working ability with AutoCAD and Revit software with above average drawing production capabilities;
  • Develop engineering drawings packages in accordance with standards and best practices;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and thrive in team environments;
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and work diligently to meet time-sensitive deadlines; and
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.

  • Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.

 

To meet pay transparency requirements, compensation ranges are included for roles in locations where required by law. The salary range listed for this position represents the expected hiring range; actual starting compensation will vary based on factors such as professional experience, technical expertise, credentials, and alignment with the role's requirements, as well as internal compensation structures and market data.
