Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full-Time Residential Team Leader to support and oversee residential services in Vineland, New Jersey.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for experienced Residential Counselors, Residential Supervisors, Behavioral Health Team Leaders, Group Home Managers, Mental Health Professionals, and Human Services Leaders who enjoy mentoring staff, supporting residents in recovery, and ensuring high-quality service delivery within a residential treatment environment.

Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Residential Team Leader, you'll oversee daily operations within our residential behavioral health program while ensuring compliance, quality services, and a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
- →Supervise residential staff and day-to-day program operations
- →Provide leadership, coaching, and support to direct care personnel
- →Assist with development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment plans
- →Complete and review clinical, administrative, and operational documentation
- →Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and community providers
- →Organize resident meetings, recreational activities, and skill-building programs
- →Monitor the residential environment to ensure safety, structure, and program effectiveness
- →Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, and emergency situations
- →Support compliance with DMHAS standards, agency policies, and regulatory requirements
- →Promote resident engagement, community integration, and independent living skills
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience working within DMHAS-funded programs and regulatory standards
- Experience supervising residential behavioral health or group home staff
- Knowledge of treatment planning, psychiatric rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented care
- Experience supporting individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Strong understanding of community-based behavioral health services
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Bachelor's Degree in a Mental Health, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a residential behavioral health, mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, or group home setting
- Previous supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience
- Knowledge of community resources, behavioral health services, and support systems
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with acceptable driving history
- Strong leadership, staff development, and team-building abilities
- Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced residential environment
- Strong documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
