Assistant Accountant

Job Summary Our client, a trading company specializing in raw animal feeds, is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Accountant to support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong numerical and analytical skills, hands-on experience in reconciliations, and proficiency in Zoho Books and Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and make an immediate contribution to the finance team. Key Responsibilities • Process daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records • Prepare and review bank, cash, supplier, and customer reconciliations • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities • Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and statutory requirements • Handle withholding tax, VAT, and zero-rated goods transactions accurately Requirements Requirements • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA Section II or above • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience • Proven experience handling reconciliations • Strong understanding of withholding tax, VAT, and zero-rated goods • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Female candidates are encouraged to apply
