We are seeking an experienced Assistant Treasurer to help scale the treasury function of a leading independent broker‑dealer. This is a high‑impact leadership role at the center of liquidity, client cash, banking, and capital strategy. The Assistant Treasurer will oversee critical cash sweep programs, lead Treasury Operations, and partner closely with senior leadership on financing, capital structure, and growth initiatives.

This role is ideal for a treasury leader who thrives in a fast‑growing, highly regulated financial services environment and wants to help shape the next phase of scale. This is a hybrid role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Client Cash & Sweep Programs:

    • Own the firm’s FDIC‑insured cash sweep programs, including bank and administrator relationships, capacity planning, and operational execution.
    • Act as the senior Treasury contact for sweep‑related matters, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to support growth and regulatory readiness.
    • Oversee reconciliations, controls, and reporting to ensure accuracy, resilience, and scalability.
  • Run Treasury Operations at Scale:

    • Lead Treasury Operations across cash management, payments (wires/ACH), bank account administration, short‑term investments, and daily liquidity positioning.
    • Deliver timely, decision‑ready liquidity reporting and cash forecasts to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
    • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements as transaction volumes and complexity increase.
  • Support Capital & Financing Strategy:

    • Partner with the Treasurer on capital structure strategy, debt management, and liquidity facilities.
    • Manage holding company debt administration and covenant compliance.
    • Support interest rate risk management and hedging activities, including modeling and analysis.
    • Contribute to materials for senior management, lenders, and rating agencies.
  • Build External Partnerships:

    • Lead key banking relationships and negotiate pricing and services to support growth efficiently.
    • Support lender and rating agency engagement as the firm scales.
  • Lead and Develop Talent:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop Treasury Operations professionals.
    • Foster a high‑performance, growth‑oriented culture with strong risk awareness and accountability.

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive treasury experience, ideally within financial services, broker‑dealer, asset management, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience leading cash, liquidity, payments, and banking relationships in a complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of debt structures, covenant compliance, and interest rate risk management.
  • Track record of partnering effectively across Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
  • Ability to balance growth, efficiency, and control in a regulated environment.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
  • Hands‑on leader who can zoom between strategy and execution.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Treasury Management System experience a plus.

What’s Nice to Have:

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) strongly preferred.
  • FINRA licenses a plus, depending on role scope.
