Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a qualified licensed CDL driver to help support our facilities in the West Michigan region.

Responsibilities

→Implements safe and efficient operating procedures while meeting established schedules

→Efficiently load and/or unload freight using proper handling equipment

→Take responsibility of and secure the equipment and/or cargo

→Receive and verify dispatch instructions properly

→Complete daily log when required and all other necessary paperwork

→Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment

→Maintain and update driving and safety skills

→Perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service

→Communicate with supervision to receive instructions, report delays or safety hazards and report accidents involving the driver or company equipment

→Maintain a clean operating truck both inside and out

→Perform other shipping related duties a assigned by the supervisor which could include but not limited to working a crane, driving a hi-lo, helping on the production floor

This will be a 2nd Shift / 3PM-11PM M-F position located at our Plant in Holland, MI.

Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.

Must be 18 years of age or older
Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 21 or older
- Possess a CDL
- Must have a current motor vehicle report that represent a history of safe and competent driving
- Must be able to work a maximum amount of hours allowed under D.O.T. hours of service regulations on various days / shifts.
- Must posses or have the ability to obain a satisfactory DOT physical
