• No minimum experience required

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting
• Possess an understanding of electrocardiogram
• 1 year of experience as a Telemetry Technician or Emergency Medical Technician

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

• Completion of Telemetry Exam with a minimum of 80%

• →Monitors cardiac rhythm on telemetry monitor screen throughout shift.
• →Performs 12 lead electrocardiogram procedure as needed
• →Evaluates patient baseline rhythm, oxygen saturations, and any changes noted throughout stay.
• →Communicates effectively with other staff members in support of patient care.
• →Prepares patient properly for telemetry monitoring process.  
• →Ensures upkeep of telemetry area to allow for most efficient workflow.
• →Participates in professional and staff development.   
• →Performs related responsibilities as required.
