Operating Area: Knoxville, TN 37902

Freight Type – No-touch dry van
Home Time – Every other weekend
Weekly Pay – $1,350 to $1,500

Well-organized dispatch and dependable weekly mileage make this CDL-A truck driver position a strong fit for drivers who want consistency on the road. Operating from the Knoxville area, drivers run established over-the-road freight lanes with planned dispatch coordination that helps reduce unnecessary downtime and keeps freight moving efficiently. Instead of constantly adjusting to changing routes, drivers benefit from a structured operation designed to support steady miles and predictable scheduling.

Pay & Benefits

Drivers typically earn between $1,350 and $1,500 per week based on mileage, freight volume, and experience. Weekly payroll provides dependable earnings, while eligible drivers receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and retirement plan options. Rider and pet programs are also available for approved drivers.

Home Time & Schedule

Drivers operate on a 12-day schedule followed by 48 hours at home every other weekend. Dispatch teams work to plan reloads before current deliveries are completed whenever possible, creating smoother transitions between loads and helping drivers maintain a consistent work routine throughout each trip.

Equipment

Assigned equipment includes 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, and refrigerators. Trucks receive scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Drivers may be permitted to take assigned equipment home during home time when parking arrangements allow.

Freight Operation

Freight consists primarily of no-touch dry van loads traveling through established interstate freight corridors across multiple states. A large percentage of shipments are drop-and-hook, allowing drivers to spend more time driving and less time waiting at customer facilities. Average haul lengths of 700 to 750 miles help support dependable weekly mileage and consistent earning opportunities.

Orientation & Driver Support

Travel, lodging, and meals are provided during orientation. Driver support teams remain available throughout each trip to assist with dispatch questions, routing, and operational needs, helping drivers stay productive and focused on the road.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience

Acceptable driving and safety history

Ability to operate across multiple states while remaining DOT compliant
