Operating Area: Knoxville, TN 37902

Freight Type – No-touch dry van
Home Time – Every other weekend
Weekly Pay – $1,350 to $1,500

Regional freight stability and predictable scheduling make this CDL-A truck driver position a strong choice for drivers who value consistency from week to week. Operating from the Knoxville area, this fleet runs established interstate lanes where freight remains steady throughout the year and dispatch planning helps minimize downtime between loads. Drivers spend more time moving freight and less time waiting for the next assignment.

Pay & Benefits

Drivers typically earn between $1,350 and $1,500 per week depending on mileage, freight volume, and experience. Weekly payroll provides dependable income, while eligible drivers receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and retirement savings options. Approved drivers may also participate in rider and pet programs.

Home Time & Schedule

This position follows a 12-day operating cycle with 48 hours at home every other weekend. Dispatch works to build efficient trip plans that allow for smoother load transitions and more consistent scheduling throughout each run. The result is a dependable work routine that supports both earning potential and regular home time.

Equipment

Drivers are assigned 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth tractors equipped with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, and refrigerators. Preventative maintenance programs help keep equipment reliable and reduce unnecessary downtime. Depending on available parking, drivers may be able to take assigned equipment home during their scheduled reset.

Freight Operation

Freight consists of no-touch dry van loads moving across established regional and multi-state freight lanes. Many loads are drop-and-hook, helping reduce delays at customer locations and improving overall trip efficiency. Average haul lengths of approximately 700 to 750 miles support dependable weekly mileage and steady earnings throughout the year.

Orientation & Driver Support

Transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals are provided during orientation. Throughout each trip, experienced support teams assist with dispatch coordination, routing, and operational needs to help drivers stay productive and keep freight moving on schedule.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience

Acceptable driving and safety history

Ability to operate across multiple states while remaining DOT compliant
