Responsibilities
~1 min readStreet & Asphalt Maintenance
- →Assist with asphalt repairs, patching, and street maintenance projects
- →Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in roadwork and construction
- →Support preparation, placement, and finishing of asphalt surfaces
Teamwork & Field Operations
- →Work closely with crew leadership to complete projects safely and efficiently
- →Follow direction from crew leaders while contributing to a positive team environment
- →Help set up traffic control and maintain safe work zones
General Maintenance & Support
- →Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and related infrastructure
- →Assist with snow removal, storm response, and other seasonal Public Works activities
- →Maintain equipment and report any issues or needed repairs
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Team-first mindset with a commitment to safety
- Pride in producing quality work that serves the community
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Preferred, but not required
- Experience in asphalt work, construction, or general maintenance
- Experience operating equipment such as dump trucks, rollers, or skid steers
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Typical schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (may vary by project)
- Overtime opportunities may occur during peak work periods, snow/ice events, or emergency response
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
- This is a physically active, hands-on role with a team that relies on each other every day
