Salary Range: $25–$30/hour

Responsibilities
~1 min readProvide maintenance, repairs, and preventative services across BAMSI properties to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and other building maintenance tasks
• Identify and complete preventative maintenance projects to reduce facility issues and improve operations
• Utilize BAMSI’s digital work order system to document, track, and complete assigned work orders
• Inspect facilities and proactively identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely manner
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours facility needs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and BAMSI vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• Safely operate BAMSI vehicles while traveling between locations throughout Southeastern Massachusetts
• Maintain professional communication with program staff, managers, vendors, and stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Facilities team to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with safety standards and agency expectations
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on building, property, or facilities maintenance experience required
Requirements
~1 min read• General knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
• Demonstrated competency in at least two skilled trade areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or appliance repair
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Customer-service oriented approach and professional demeanor
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to successfully complete a CORI/background check
