The Role:
11:11 Systems is looking for a Manager of Data Center Operations who will manage daily activities of the Data Center Operations (DCO) support staff that staff the facility 24 x 7. They will ensure staff scheduling supports customer demands. Other responsibilities include performance management and reporting, delegation of work, conflict resolution, training/mentoring, making hiring/promotional/disciplinary recommendations, and other related duties. This is a full- time position.
Responsibilities:
- Work queues for changes, tasks and problems, and assign to staff.
- Train, implement, and enforce the use of 11:11’s operational processes in areas such as customer implementation and support, emergency procedures, troubleshooting, and more.
- Work with Implementation Project Managers (IPMs) on new customer implementations.
- Ensure that 11:11’s product implementations are conducted in accordance with standard procedures and meet our stringent Service Level Agreements. Requires an in-depth knowledge of 11:11’s product suite and contracts.
- Provide direct customer contact from the sales process throughout ongoing operational support to include the direct handling of customer inquiries or concerns.
- Provide sales with data center tours for existing customers and new prospects.
- Work with DCO Director and Facilities team on customer space and other physical planning requirements. Coordinate monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the facility and its critical support systems.
- Enhance and/or develop Managed Services operational procedures. Understand and coordinate the monthly collection of various metrics for analysis.
- Directly manage 8-14 DCO team members.
- Provide management through subordinate supervisors and/ or direct skilled individual contributors through coaching and guidance while acting as an advisor to the team.
- Recommend changes to policies and lead cooperative efforts on team and cross-functionally.
- Address the lifecycle of employees though Performance management to include 1:1 monthly discussions, mid/end of year performance assessments, coaching, guidance, setting performance goals and general management to include attracting, retaining and developing talent.
- Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values
- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies.
- Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience leading people and teams
- 4 year College degree highly preferred
- Technical aptitude in a data center environment is highly preferred.
- Must be able to delegate effectively
- Proven ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Facilities experience required
- Previous budgetary and cost management experience preferred
- Previous experience in the hiring process and employee team building
- Possess strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Australia without visa sponsorship
