Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Content Researcher to support our team in processing, analyzing, and responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals interested in government transparency, public records, and investigative research. The Content Researcher will assist with records searches, document review, redaction, and communication with requesters while ensuring compliance with FOIA guidelines.

Assist in processing FOIA requests by collecting, organizing, and analyzing responsive records.

Conduct research and data collection from internal databases, public records, and open-source information.

Review documents for confidential or sensitive information and assist in redaction.

Maintain accurate tracking of FOIA requests and ensure deadlines are met.

Draft correspondence with requesters and prepare responses under the supervision of senior staff.

Assist in compiling reports and providing updates on FOIA request statuses.

Support senior FOIA analysts in policy research and procedural improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic database research tools.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Familiarity with FOIA processes, public records laws, or investigative research (preferred but not required).
Experience with FOIA tracking systems or document management software.
Basic understanding of redaction techniques and exemptions under FOIA. Work
Environment: Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Collaboration with the Team manager and analysts.
