About the Role
~1 min readWe're building a small, focused execution pod inside Growth Marketing to ship SEO and content experiments at high cadence for a specific product line. This role is one of three on the pod. You'll work directly with our SEO lead and our growth director, alongside an ABM/Paid specialist and a GEO/AI visibility specialist.
This is an execution role. You'll be measured on what you ship and what ranks — not on slide decks, strategy frameworks, or audit reports. If you love getting pages live, climbing the SERP, and seeing real movement on rankings, you'll thrive here.
Rewrite and refresh existing pages based on what's working — title tags, headers, intros, internal links, schema.
Publish new pages targeting specific keyword clusters we've already prioritized.
Optimize pages against the patterns of competitors who outrank us, including ones who do so with fewer backlinks.
Ship two pieces of work per day on average — refreshes, new pages, or optimization passes.
Outreach for backlinks on priority pages — listicles, guest posts, resource pages, partner placements.
Identify content gaps where competitors are getting links and we're not.
Manage and grow our backlink profile with tools like PressWhizz, BuzzStream, or similar.
Monitor keyword rankings weekly for the pages you've shipped.
Log every experiment in the team tracker — hypothesis, change made, result.
Write short async recaps on what moved, what didn't, and why.
One to three years of hands-on SEO or content execution experience — agency, in-house, or freelance.
You've personally edited pages, published content, and managed outreach — not just briefed someone else.
You move fast. A 'refresh and ship' takes you hours, not days.
Comfortable with at least one major SEO tool — Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar — for keyword research and competitive analysis.
Familiar with a CMS — WordPress, Webflow, or similar.
Can read Google Search Console data and turn it into action.
Bonus: experience with structured data, schema markup, or technical SEO basics.
Strong written English. You can produce or substantially edit a 1,500-word page that doesn't need heavy reworking.
Direct, clear, and brief in writing. We don't reward long emails.
Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones.
You'd rather ship and learn than plan and wait.
You want a role with clear weekly targets and visible outcomes.
You're comfortable with feedback loops that are fast and direct.
After 90 days, a strong contributor in this role will have shipped a consistent volume of refreshed and new content week after week, moved a meaningful number of priority keywords into top rankings, and contributed to qualified inbound from organic search. We'll define specific targets together in week one — but the shape is: shipped volume, ranking movement, and qualified inbound.
