Are you a passionate behavioral health professional looking to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families? CMCS is seeking for a Children and Family Behavioral Therapist to provide community-based behavioral health services in homes, schools, and other natural settings throughout New York City. In this rewarding role, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and family therapy, deliver crisis intervention, and collaborate with families and community partners to support positive outcomes for children.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide collateral sessions to both Biological and Foster families as needed.
- →Participate in clinical case conferences, treatment team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions for children and families assigned to their caseload
- →Make appropriate referrals as deemed necessary
- →Maintain and update Progress notes using Electronic Health Record.
- →Meet with interdisciplinary team to review treatment, case monitoring, and discharge planning, pursuant to sound professional practice and to federal, state and city guidelines
- →Participate in clinical supervision with the Clinical Supervisor.
Requirements
~1 min read- Current New York State licensure as a LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Psychoanalyst, or an LMSW working under the supervision of an LCSW.
- Strong knowledge base on children's mental health, behavior, complex trauma, foster care preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families with behavioral health concerns.
- Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
