The Home Comfort & Safety Advisor is responsible for building long-term relationships with homeowners by serving as a trusted advisor for their plumbing, heating, and electrical needs. This role focuses on understanding each customer's home, lifestyle, and priorities to recommend customized solutions that improve safety, efficiency, comfort, and the overall appearance of the home.
The Advisor conducts annual (or more frequent) in-home visits, evaluates plumbing and electrical systems, identifies opportunities for repairs or upgrades, and collaborates with service and installation teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. While this position includes sales goals and revenue expectations, success is equally measured by customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term relationship building.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with homeowners.
- →Conduct on-site inspections of residential plumbing and electrical systems.
- →Assess system performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- →Prepare and present repair and improvement proposals based on customer needs.
- →Answer customer questions regarding estimates, repair recommendations, and available options.
- →Educate homeowners on recommended solutions and preventative maintenance opportunities.
- →Coordinate with service technicians and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- →Maintain accurate records of inspections, recommendations, estimates, and customer interactions.
- →Meet established sales, conversion, and customer satisfaction goals while maintaining a consultative, customer-first approach.
Requirements
~1 min read- Apprentice Plumbing License or Apprentice Electrical License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Journeyman or Master Plumbing License.
- Journeyman or Master Electrical License.
- Experience in residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or home services.
- Strong consultative sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience preparing estimates and explaining repair recommendations to customers.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and customer management software.
- Ability to explain technical information in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
- Ability to perform residential home inspections, including walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and travel to customer locations.
- Develops trusted relationships with homeowners.
- Consistently delivers outstanding customer service.
- Achieves sales and conversion goals through education and consultative recommendations.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborates effectively with service and installation teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
