Wastewater/Storm Water System Mechanic I or Mechanic II

Position Overview:

Under general supervision, trains to learn how to operate a backhoe, Vactor truck, dump truck, bobcat, bush hog, air hammer etc. Performs rain detail duties. Trains and learns how to construct, install, and perform maintenance on storm water catch basins and lines. Trains on how to clear line blockages in the storm water system lines. Trains on how to operate specialized and heavy equipment in construction, maintenance and repair of storm water lines. Reports to the Storm Water Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

* High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
* Valid South Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License.
* Experience operating heavy equipment.
