We have an outstanding career opportunity for Frontend- Quality Engineer at Bangalore location. As a Quality Engineer on the Clumio Frontend team, you help ensure the quality of the user interfaces behind our cloud-native data protection platform, working under the guidance of Senior Engineers and Quality Engineers. This role focuses on understanding product behavior, designing and executing tests, and helping build the automation that keeps our releases reliable.
The Frontend Engineering team designs, builds, and maintains the user interfaces that power Clumio’s SaaS data protection platform. For a mission-critical product, usability, reliability, and operational robustness are essential requirements rather than optional enhancements, and quality is owned across the team. The team builds modern, scalable frontend systems using cloud-native and micro-frontend architectural patterns, delivering assets globally on AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →You take features from validation through to release – writing and running test cases, reproducing and debugging issues, filing clear defect reports, and helping automate repetitive checks.
- →This is a role built for growth. You’ll learn how large-scale, cloud-native systems are tested, released, and kept correct under real-world conditions – working on problems of genuine scale rather than toy projects.
- →With close mentorship, regular reviews, and hands-on exposure to modern testing and automation practices, you’ll sharpen your fundamentals and grow along a clear path toward broader test ownership and automation.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 0–2 years of experience, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript; Python preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break a problem down and reason through it methodically.
- A solid grasp of software testing fundamentals – test case design, test types, and the software testing lifecycle.
- Basic working knowledge of APIs, databases, and networking concepts.
- Good basic debugging skills, with the ability to investigate and isolate the cause of a failure.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- An active GitHub profile with projects – development or automation.
- Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Exposure to test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
