As a Copia employee, you’ll solve challenging, unique, and meaningful problems alongside passionate coworkers while we change the way everything gets built.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you bring experience across Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure Engineering. You take ownership of technical projects (ideally with prior experience solving similar problems) and provide thought leadership. You’re comfortable making architectural decisions, guiding other engineers, and helping set the technical direction of the product.

Building products for the industrial automation space requires knowledge uncommon to most software engineering jobs. In your day-to-day, you’ll learn about a wide variety of industrial automation topics.

Our product brings modern developer tools to the OT space through our novel Git-based source control for automation professionals, with multiple delivery methods including self-hosted and fully hosted options. Manufacturing is powered by industrial automation—computerized systems and robotics running on PLCs. This ecosystem uses a unique graphical language that doesn’t work with typical developer tools like GitLab or GitHub. Instead, automation professionals rely on physical storage devices, incompatible tools, and incomplete solutions. When minutes of downtime can cost tens of thousands of dollars, better development tools are urgently needed.

Take ownership of challenging technical projects across cloud, on-prem, and bare metal environments

Deploy and test our web application across various cloud providers and self-hosted infrastructures across Linux and Windows Server

Develop tools that enable an efficient SDLC capable of delivering to cross-platform targets

Work with modern infrastructure stacks, including Kubernetes, virtualization platforms, and hybrid cloud/on-prem

Solve scaling and reliability challenges in our cloud offering as we onboard new customers

Maintain a high bar for service availability and performance while handling customer data with best-in-class security practices

Apply cloud-native design principles to architect infrastructure supporting real-world industrial workloads

Provide technical guidance and help define the roadmap with time for deep engineering work and minimal interruptions

Support our self-hosted customers as they onboard and operate our platform

5+ years of SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure experience

Experience architecting and operating infrastructure on major cloud providers (AWS or similar)

Experience with modern container platforms such as EKS, AKS, or GKEExperience with one or more programming/scripting languages including Go, Python, or Typescript

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

Knowledge of cloud security best practices

Experience monitoring infrastructure using log/monitor/alert suites such as Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana

Experience using Service Level Objectives (SLOs)

Experience operating secure multi-tenant environments or multi-tenant architectures

Experience running workloads on bare metal or Talos OSExperience with virtualization platforms such as VMWare or Nutanix

Experience with configuration management tools such as Packer and AnsibleInterest or experience in manufacturing and hardware innovation (EE or ME)

Interest or experience in industrial automation and PLCsExperience working in compliant environments including SOC2 or ISO27001
