OtherHuman Resources Manager
The Ricardo Hotel Marriott is hiring for a Human Resources Manager.
You should join our team if you believe...
That great hospitality starts with great people.
That Human Resources is about more than policies and paperwork—it’s about creating an environment where people feel supported, respected, and valued.
That strong leaders build strong teams through clear expectations, meaningful communication, and consistent follow-through.
That the best employee experiences ultimately create the best guest experiences.
That every team member deserves a workplace where they can learn, grow, contribute, and feel a sense of belonging.
That HR should be approachable, responsive, and connected to the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
That sometimes the most important HR work happens in the moments when a team member simply needs someone to listen.
You’re a great fit for this role if you love...
Leading the day-to-day Human Resources function for the hotel and serving as a trusted resource to leaders and team members.
Partnering with hotel leadership to support staffing, employee relations, performance management, engagement, and retention.
Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding Curators who bring the right skills, attitude, and hospitality mindset to the team.
Coaching leaders through employee relations matters, performance conversations, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
Building strong relationships with Curators and creating an environment where employees feel comfortable coming to HR for support.
Ensuring HR practices, policies, and employment processes are applied consistently and fairly.
Managing employee files, HR documentation, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities with accuracy and confidentiality.
Supporting benefits administration, leave processes, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and other employee programs as needed.
Partnering with leadership to identify training needs and support learning and development throughout the hotel.
Helping leaders understand and apply company policies while balancing business needs with a people-first approach.
Supporting employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, team events, and other opportunities to strengthen the hotel culture.
Maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Working closely with leadership to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and strengthen hotel operations.
Jumping in when needed, because HR in a hotel rarely stays neatly inside an office—and sometimes the most important conversation happens in the hallway.
We’re excited to have you join us because...
You understand that Human Resources is a business partner and an advocate for a strong workplace culture.
You know how to balance compassion with accountability and can have difficult conversations while maintaining respect and professionalism.
You are approachable, trustworthy, and comfortable working with Curators at every level of the organization.
You can coach leaders, ask thoughtful questions, and help find practical solutions to workplace challenges.
You have strong judgment and understand the importance of confidentiality, consistency, and documentation.
You are organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
You can communicate clearly and build relationships across departments and leadership levels.
You enjoy being visible and engaged with the hotel team rather than spending every day behind a desk.
You believe employee engagement is built through everyday interactions—not just an annual survey.
You bring energy, professionalism, dependability, and a genuine passion for hospitality and people.
You believe leadership means showing up for your team, especially when things get busy.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
Previous experience supporting employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance required.
Hotel, resort, or hospitality HR experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
Strong understanding of employee relations practices, documentation, and workplace investigations.
Ability to coach and support leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the hotel leadership team.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred, but not required.
Compensation
Salary range: $70,000–$80,000 annually
Benefits and additional offerings available based on eligibility and company policy.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Ability to spend time both in an office environment and throughout the hotel interacting with Curators and leadership.
Ability to walk throughout the property, including guest areas, back-of-house spaces, offices, and operational departments.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive presence.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and other times based on business needs.
Ability to respond to employee and operational needs outside of a traditional office schedule when necessary.
