Projects Development Expert – Solar PV

Our client, a leader in the Solar PV industry, is seeking an experienced Projects Development Expert with a strong background in investment and project delivery. This role, open to locations across Africa, will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility through to project closeout and handover. Basic Duties: Lead the development of Solar PV projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget. Conduct project feasibility studies, including technical, financial, and regulatory assessments. Oversee investment analysis, financial modeling, and securing funding for projects. Manage stakeholder relationships, including investors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and local communities. Coordinate project planning, procurement, and execution phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Monitor project progress, risks, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met. Lead project closeout activities, including testing, commissioning, and handover to operations teams. Ensure compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or Finance (Master’s degree is a plus). Minimum of 8-10 years experience in Solar PV project development, with a proven track record of delivering projects across Africa. Strong knowledge of investment analysis, financial structuring, and project financing for renewable energy projects. Experience managing the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to project handover. Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in African markets. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Exceptional leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel extensively across Africa as required.
