Senior HSE Officer

Position Overview: On behalf of our esteemed client, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior HSE Officer to spearhead health, safety, and environmental initiatives in Senegal. This pivotal role involves fostering a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing effective environmental management strategies. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive HSE policies and procedures. Perform regular site inspections and audits to uphold safety standards. Lead incident investigations and promote continual HSE improvements. Organize and conduct employee training and awareness programs on HSE topics. Maintain compliance with environmental laws and liaise with regulatory bodies. Compile and present reports on HSE performance and initiatives Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field. Significant experience in HSE roles, preferably within the mining industry. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Experience in developing and implementing HSE programs. HSE management certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.
