The Litigation Paralegal role at Castle Rock Injury Law is designed for a highly autonomous paralegal who can own civil litigation workflows from pre-litigation through litigation, bringing completed work product to the attorney for review. This position is crucial for alleviating the operational demands on our lead attorney, allowing the firm to maintain its high standards of client advocacy while enhancing efficiency and accuracy in procedural tasks. By taking full ownership of case management, the paralegal plays a vital role in driving the firm's mission of successful client outcomes and growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Discovery Management: Prepare, draft, organize, and track discovery responses and related obligations independently, ensuring timely and accurate productions.
- →Initial Disclosures: Independently assemble and prepare all initial disclosures, records, exhibits, and summaries for attorney review, optimizing accuracy and completeness.
- →Medical Record Management: Proactively manage the collection, organization, and filing of medical records using YoCierge, ensuring seamless integration into case files.
- →Calendaring and Deadlines: Take charge of all litigation scheduling, strictly adhering to Colorado procedural deadlines and ensuring zero missed deadlines.
- →Case Management: Autonomously direct case progression and workflow, anticipating next steps and maintaining momentum without daily oversight.
- →Evidence Documentation: Prepare billing summaries, Bates-label evidence and document sets, and upload records or case materials to tools such as EvenUp as needed.
- Colorado Litigation Expertise: Deep Colorado civil litigation experience is strongly preferred, including familiarity with Colorado courts, procedural rules, discovery requirements, disclosures, and court-specific deadlines.
- Autonomous Work Style: Capable of independently driving litigation tasks from inception to completion with minimal guidance.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail in managing procedural rules, deadlines, and documentation.
- Tech-Savvy: Competent in utilizing AI tools and litigation software such as Briefpoint, Lexis, and ChatGPT to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strategic Problem Solver: Able to foresee potential procedural challenges and devise strategic solutions proactively.
- Performance-Driven Mindset: Comfortable in a direct, performance-driven environment with high expectations, clear accountability, and minimal hand-holding.
