We are seeking an Executive Assistant to join Schwartz, Conroy & Hack P.C. and serve as a strategic partner to our managing partner, Evan Schwartz. This position is not just about managing administrative tasks; it’s about creating additional bandwidth for Evan, allowing him to focus more on strategic and high-value activities. Your role will be integral to enhancing the firm’s performance, growth, and innovation through proactive support and strategic input. For the right candidate, this position holds the potential to evolve into a Chief of Staff role as trust and responsibilities expand. This is a primarily remote role, with a strong preference for candidates located in or near the Greensboro, Triad, or Triangle areas of North Carolina to facilitate meaningful face-to-face collaboration. The role also includes periodic in-person meetings and occasional travel, including potential travel to New York.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Executive Support & Time Management: Own scheduling, email management, travel logistics, meeting coordination, and follow-up for the Managing Partner, proactively organizing priorities and protecting his time so he can remain focused on strategic and high-value activities.
- →Strategic Coordination: Ensure prioritization of business development and high-value legal work, liaising with internal teams to maintain momentum on strategic initiatives.
- →Priority & Follow-Through Management: Track key commitments, action items, and strategic priorities, proactively following up with Evan and internal stakeholders to ensure important initiatives continue moving forward.
- →Proactive Anticipation: Develop a deep understanding of evolving needs to anticipate requirements and take action without direct instruction.
- →Technology Integration: Utilize AI tools to manage information, organize priorities, enhance workflow efficiency, and surface relevant insights to support informed decision-making.
- →Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture critical internal and external relationships, ensuring effective communication and alignment with Evan’s objectives.
- Executive Support Experience: Proven high-level executive support experience, ideally supporting an owner, CEO, managing partner, or other senior leader. Law firm experience is not required; experience in professional services or other growth-oriented environments is preferred.
- AI & Technology Proficiency: Comfortable leveraging AI, technology, and data to organize information, improve efficiency, surface insights, and support executive decision-making.
- Strategic & Proactive Mindset: Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, identify priorities, exercise sound judgment, and take action without waiting for detailed direction.
- Organization & Follow-Through: Highly organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track commitments, and ensure important tasks and initiatives do not fall through the cracks.
- Communication & Relationship Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with leadership, team members, clients, and external professional relationships.
- Trust & Discretion: Demonstrates exceptional integrity, judgment, and discretion when handling confidential business, financial, professional, and personal information.
