This opportunity is based in our Lexington, KY office but offers flexibility to work from home part of the work week.
The National Membership Engagement Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships to increase member participation and satisfaction. Under the direction of the Senior Director of National Membership Engagement, the Membership Engagement Specialist will manage a variety of departmental functions to ensure that member enquiries are addressed, events are coordinated, feedback is gathered and recorded in the team's CRM and monitors engagement metrics. The position requires a self-motivated professional with a positive demeanor, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Is a primary point of contact for member inquiries and provides high-level customer service. Fields incoming queries and requests from CSG members, including CSG officers, leadership and members. Uses knowledge of the CSG organization to ensure the appropriate resources are engaged.
- →Corresponds directly with members in-person, on the phone and via email to answer questions, obtain information and discuss CSG projects. Utilizes professional writing skills to ensure clear, concise and polished email.
- →Manages complex travel arrangements with an emphasis on managing travel costs. Produces detailed itineraries for CSG officers, leadership and members.
- →Maintains and updates member records, survey members for feedback as necessary, and uses data to refine the organization's value proposition.
- →Independently plans, coordinates and manages the logistics process for meetings. May include travel to meetings to provide onsite support and management.
- →Acts as a CSG ambassador at conferences and meetings, engaging with members and staff to foster an understanding of the organization's mission and values.
- →Produces presentations as requested for the team and leadership.
- →Coordinates the application, selection and post-selection processes for CSG programs.
- →Actively participates on a dynamic team whose "can do" attitude and attention to detail make them indispensable.
- →Consistently exceeds expectations in recognizing and following through on opportunities to add value to the team.
- Detail oriented with excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and competence to work effectively with a myriad of leaders, including internal departments, funders and interested stakeholders.
- Experience using databases and project management systems.
- Superior organizational skills and judgement, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently. Self-motivated, able to take initiative and see complex tasks through to completion, often with competing deadlines.
- Ability to oversee the complete process for meeting and event planning.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Ability to exercise exceptional judgement with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to think critically, synthesize information from a variety of sources, work collaboratively or independently as required, prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and effectively carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to be flexible with shifting deadlines and priorities.
- Dedication to public service with an unfailing commitment to act with civility, be nonpartisan in performing CSG duties, and be a responsible steward of member and donor funds.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as an Administrative Coordinator or similar position.
- Experience with or in federal or state government, event management, association management, non-profit organizations, public administration or related field preferred.
What We Offer
~1 min readThe salary range for this position, based in Lexington, KY, is $55,000 to $63,000. This salary range is subject to change based on work location and market conditions.
