About the Role

The National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Administration Support Officer to contribute towards the conservation and protection of the natural environment.

The Administrative Support Officer provides quality customer service and administrative support services to the Richmond River Area NPWS operational area.  This pivotal role provides a wide range of administrative support services to facilitate the operation of the area such as financial tracking and records management, logistics and resourcing for planned and wildfire operations, fleet management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination, HR administration and reporting.  Working closely with the Area Manager and team leaders you will be relied upon to communicate key information, management of due dates of tasks, financial processing and monitoring, an advantage but not essential to demonstrate an ability  to assist in the coordination of the production, interpretation and checking of financial reports, prepare monthly journals, recruitment, calendar management and day to day administrative tasks.  To ensure the smooth running of the Area, you’ll utilise your savvy business systems knowledge (SAP, MyWorkZone, Expense8, FCM travel, Pageup, CM10, Microsoft Word and Excel) and superior organisational and communication skills.

 

You will be able to demonstrate superior communication skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to meet deadlines and provide support within a busy, dynamic and diverse work environment. You will have demonstrably strong people management and program coordination skills, financial management experience and ideally have previous experience in a similar administration role with knowledge of SAP, MyWorkZone, Expense8, FCM travel, records management CM10, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Your ability to work collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders will be highly valued in this role as well as working independently with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve.
