Our Assurance Biodiversity Stewardship branch is looking for a Senior Team Leader to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of biodiversity offset programs that support the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme.
In this leadership position, you will guide a high-performing team to implement biodiversity offset programs across New South Wales including supporting scheme participants to conduct credit equivalence, transactions and retirements. You will drive strategic biodiversity conservation reforms, and influence policy and operational outcomes. You will work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, provide expert advice on complex environmental and legislative matters, and lead projects that deliver meaningful environmental outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who can navigate complexity, drive innovation, and inspire team members to achieve results in a context of legislative, policy and operational change.
You are a collaborative and strategic leader with demonstrated experience managing complex programs, projects or operational functions in a dynamic environment.
You have superior knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for successful delivery of biodiversity offsets programs and management activities in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks and reforms. Experience working within biodiversity, environmental management, natural resource management, regulatory programs or a related field will be highly regarded.
You bring strong people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You have excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, enabling you to build effective relationships, navigate competing priorities and provide trusted advice on complex issues.
Your ability to analyse information, interpret legislation and policy frameworks, and develop practical solutions allows you to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality outcomes. You are comfortable leading through change, managing multiple priorities and applying sound project management practices to achieve strategic objectives.
