Working with our growing Queensland division you will be working within our collaborative commercial team, supporting the success of numerous projects.

  • Conduct comprehensive commercial reviews of Head contracts and Agreements
  • Negotiate contract departures for Head Contract and Subcontract agreements
  • Manage and ensure compliance with client contract throughout the project/s
  • Oversee project start up, procurement, delivery and project close out
  • Liaise with internal Duratec team and external stakeholders
  • Draft and issue contractual notices promptly and maintain record
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to the client
  • Monitor commissioning activities including documentation
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to procedures, policies, and contractual obligations
  • Prepare scopes of work and packages for subcontractors and prepare subcontract/ supply agreements
  • Manage subcontractors from onboarding to final account
  • Prepare month-end cost reports, update forecasts, and participate in cost reviews and meetings
  • Maintain relevant registers that track and substantiate the projects commercial position
  • Contribute to the project commercial strategy and drive commercial outcomes
  • Provide timely commercial and contractual advice to the project team as needed

To be successful in this role you will bring previous experience in a varied contract administration role along with:

  • Sound working knowledge of contract administration and cost control skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in contract administration within a contractor environment, ideally across remediation, refurbishment, new build, wharf repair and maintenance, or defence projects, is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple small projects concurrently while collaborating effectively with diverse project teams
  • An understanding of the risks and opportunities associated with all project contract agreements and able to negotiate terms and conditions with stakeholders
  • Analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Positive negotiation, conflict and influencing skills
  • Written and oral communication skills with an ability to present information to a range of audiences
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
