This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished operational leader to take ownership of the Victorian division's performance and future growth. Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead the Victorian business unit, providing strategic direction, operational oversight and leadership to a high-performing team.
Responsible for the successful delivery of projects across Victoria, this role extends beyond project execution and will play a critical part in driving business growth, developing organisational capability, strengthening client relationships and positioning the division for future success. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior construction professional who can balance operational excellence with commercial acumen and people leadership.
Based in Glen Iris, you will lead the Victorian operations team and oversee the performance of the local business unit, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while driving sustainable growth and capability development across the division.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide leadership, management and strategic direction for the Victorian division, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- →Lead, mentor and develop operational and project teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- →Drive business unit performance across financial, operational, safety and client service measures.
- →Identify and pursue opportunities for growth, supporting business development initiatives, client engagement and market expansion.
- →Build organisational capability and succession strength within the Victorian team to support future business objectives.
- →Oversee the successful delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- →Manage business unit financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability and resource planning.
- →Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and industry partners.
- →Support tendering activities, strategic planning and commercial decision-making to secure and successfully deliver future work.
- →Ensure compliance with contractual, legislative, regulatory and company governance requirements.
- Relevant Trade Qualification or a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Experience within the Defence, Marine, Heritage, Building and Façade space is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing operational teams within a construction, infrastructure or related environment.
- Proven ability to drive business growth, improve operational performance and implement strategic initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing business unit financial outcomes, budgets and profitability.
- A track record of developing talent, building team capability and leading organisational change.
