The Senior Vice President, Account Management (SVP, AM) is the senior people leader accountable for Datavant’s strategic account management organization within an assigned segment, region, or portfolio. This role owns retention, renewal performance, executive coverage, and the effectiveness of Account Management as a discipline. The SVP ensures that customer relationships scale with Datavant’s growth while remaining tightly aligned to Service Delivery execution, Product strategy, and financial objectives.

This role is responsible not only for customer outcomes, but for building a high-performing AM organization, including talent development, operating rigor, escalation discipline, and consistent value delivery across accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Vice Presidents and Account Management leaders; set clear expectations and performance standards
  • Own portfolio-level retention, renewals, expansion performance, and revenue predictability
  • Establish and enforce Account Management operating standards (account planning, QBRs, escalation management, VOC)
  • Ensure disciplined executive coverage and multi-threading across provider systems
  • Translate Voice of Customer themes into prioritized inputs for Product, Service Delivery, and enterprise planning
  • Partner with Service Delivery leadership to align customer expectations with execution reality and performance narratives
  • Drive adoption of Datavant’s digital solutions, global workflows, and modernized delivery models across accounts
  • Own escalation governance for high-risk or multi-account issues and ensure root-cause resolution
  • Partner with Finance on margin management, renewal economics, and portfolio health
  • Represent Account Management in enterprise forums and transformation initiatives
  • Predictable retention and renewal outcomes across the portfolio
  • Strong executive customer advocacy and trust
  • High-performing, engaged Account Management leadership bench
  • Clear VOC influence on roadmap and enterprise priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 12–15+ years experience in healthcare account management, services, or commercial leadership
  • Demonstrated success leading customer-facing teams at scale
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence internally and externally
  • Deep understanding of provider economics, regulated healthcare environments, and HIPAA requirements
  • Proven ability to balance customer advocacy with operational and financial discipline
  • Experience leading through transformation and operating model change
  • Ability to travel up to 50–75%

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$240,000$300,000 USD
