Lead the design, testing, and development of lightning protection devices and products for aircraft, including Static Dischargers, Transtrike Diverter Strips, Antennas, and Lightning Arrestors.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the design, testing, and development of lightning protection devices and products for aircraft, including Static Dischargers, Transtrike Diverter Strips, Antennas, and Lightning Arrestors.
- →Supervise and manage the high voltage Lightning and Electrostatics laboratory.
- →Perform Lightning Direct Effects testing in accordance with MIL-STD, RTCA, and FAA specifications.
- →Review and prepare technical documents including test procedures, reports, and technical audits.
- →Investigate procedural noncompliance, identify root causes, and develop procedures to avoid repeat incidents.
- →Develop and prepare data packages for FAA PMA, TSO & STC.
- →Review and approve Qualification Test Reports & Certification Test Plans.
- →Prepare Technical Statements and Service Bulletins in support of customer service, sales, and marketing.
- →Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop solutions that exceed customers’ expectations and win new business and program opportunities.
- →Perform P Static Testing.
- →Provide training as necessary to support product development.
