We are seeking a confident and experienced Lead General Dentist to join a well-established private practice in Newington, CT. This role is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable practicing with a high level of autonomy as the primary provider and clinical leader, while delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, and capable of managing a broad scope of general dentistry independently. This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist who enjoys leadership responsibility, building long-term patient relationships, and contributing to practice growth.
- Privately owned practice proudly serving the community since 1982
- Established patient base of 1,900+ active patients
- Payer mix: 60% PPO / 40% Fee-for-Service
- Full-time schedule: Monday – Friday
- 3 doctor operatories and 2 hygiene operatories
- Technology includes Digital X-rays and iTero Scanner
- Opportunity to serve as the sole primary clinical provider
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Serve as the lead and primary dentist, overseeing diagnosis, treatment planning, and comprehensive patient care
- →Provide a full scope of general dentistry including restorative procedures, crowns, bridges, removable prosthetics, extractions, and preventive services
- →Maintain an efficient clinical schedule while ensuring high standards of quality and patient experience
- →Build strong patient relationships to support retention and case acceptance
- →Collaborate with hygiene and administrative team members to support practice performance
- →Contribute to clinical leadership, workflow optimization, and practice growth initiatives
What We Offer

~1 min read- DDS or DMD from an accredited U.S. dental school
- Active Connecticut dental license in good standing (or eligibility)
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience required
- GPR or AEGD preferred
- Comfortable practicing as a sole practitioner and clinical decision-maker
- Highly proficient in comprehensive general dentistry
- Strong communication skills and commitment to professional growth
