Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will support agile delivery for the ITA AI Center of Excellence by enabling high-performing development teams and ensuring adherence to Scrum and SAFe Agile principles. This role focuses on facilitation, coordination, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.

• →Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• →Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions.
• →Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
• →Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization.
• →Promote transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• →Coordinate with stakeholders and other delivery teams.
• →Track and report team performance metrics.
• →Support integration of Agile practices across programs.
• →Other duties as assigned. 

• U.S. Citizenship (required). Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI or higher background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.

Desired Qualifications:

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master).
• Experience supporting federal IT programs.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.
• Experience working with AI or software development teams.

Work Location: Remote preferred with occasional on-site support in Washington, DC, as required.
