About the Role

The Teaching Fellow, Medical Sciences will be responsible for planning, development and delivery of teaching and assessment in medical science, with a focus in cardiorespiratory physiology and medicine.

The incumbent will make an independent contribution to the School’s teaching, research and program development and will primarily focus on teaching and learning and associated service tasks.

  • Deliver effective teaching practices to achieve student learning experiences to support success and engagement.
  • Apply industry, clinical and/or research practice to student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
  • Contribute to and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula, clinical/professional education experiences and learning resources.
  • Contribute to the review of units and courses and implement refinements.
  • Innovate unit-level curriculum design with unit chairs and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching and apply current practice knowledge across all levels and modes.
  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications in a relevant discipline such as medical physiology and experience in teaching cardiovascular and/or respiratory physiology.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning
  • Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement
  • Emerging record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate or undergraduate programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
