We are looking for an experienced Information Management / Microsoft Purview & SharePoint Consultant to help clients design and implement secure, scalable, and well-governed information management solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This is a highly consultative role that combines technical expertise with stakeholder engagement, enabling organizations to establish practical governance frameworks while ensuring their SharePoint environments remain intuitive and effective.
Working closely with clients, you will lead workshops, design information architecture, implement Microsoft Purview capabilities, and deliver SharePoint solutions that balance compliance, usability, and long-term scalability.

Requirements
~1 min read- Proven experience delivering Information Management, Microsoft Purview, and SharePoint Online consulting engagements.
- SC-401 (formerly SC-400) certification is required.
- Experience facilitating client workshops and discovery sessions.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, including sites, libraries, metadata, and content types.
- Expertise in information architecture design and governance.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Purview capabilities, including:
- Sensitivity Labels
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Retention and lifecycle management
- Knowledge of document management principles and structured information governance.
- Experience working with small and medium-sized business (SMB) environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint integration.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform for workflow automation.
- Background implementing document management systems (DMS).
- Practical, business-focused approach to governance and compliance.
- Consultative mindset with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to solution design.
- Ability to balance governance requirements with user experience and adoption.
- Well-organised with excellent planning and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Lead discovery workshops to understand client business processes, information requirements, and governance needs.
- Facilitate discussions around information architecture, governance, and content lifecycle strategies.
- Translate business objectives into practical Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Present complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
- Design information architecture, including metadata structures, content types, and document classification models.
- Develop and implement retention policies, lifecycle management strategies, sensitivity labels, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
- Advise clients on governance frameworks and operating models that support long-term success.
- Design and implement SharePoint Online environments, including intranets, departmental sites, secure workspaces, and document management solutions.
- Configure libraries, metadata, content types, permissions, navigation, and user experience.
- Support migration and restructuring of legacy file systems into modern SharePoint environments.
- Implement Microsoft Purview compliance capabilities, including sensitivity labelling, DLP policies, and data classification frameworks.
- Deliver governance solutions that are practical, scalable, and appropriate for client environments.
- Ensure compliance initiatives support both regulatory requirements and day-to-day usability.
- Deliver workshops and training sessions to support user adoption and knowledge transfer.
- Produce clear documentation outlining governance decisions, solution designs, and implementation approaches.
- Enable client champions and internal teams to confidently manage their information environment.
- Provide ongoing guidance on governance best practices and lifecycle management.
