Paralegal

We are seeking Bankruptcy Paralegals to work 100% on-site initially. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in the financial or banking sector, strong customer service skills, and solid proficiency in Excel.

Work Modality: 100% on-site (Colombia) Hybrid Option: Available after 3 months (based on performance)

Responsibilities

Communicate with clients to collect documentation (pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements). Review, draft, organize, and prepare documentation for legal proceedings. Perform income analysis and financial calculations using Microsoft Excel. Prepare legal documents, including:

Affidavits Motions Objections

Handle communications with trustees. Monitor case status and court deadlines. Follow up with clients to ensure compliance with requirements. Record and verify client payments. Input and manage information in Clio (legal software). Collaborate closely with attorneys and the legal team.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in the financial field (in a similar role). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be listed on the resume). Strong understanding of financial documentation.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

Experience in bankruptcy cases. 1–2 years of experience in legal, office, banking, or financial services environments. Knowledge of legal software (Clio or similar). Experience with bankruptcy software (Best Case). Law degree. Degree in a financial-related field (second preferred option). 2–3 years of experience as a legal assistant (alternative with training).
