About the Role
~1 min readThe Nursing Team Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and supporting nursing activities within MSF projects. You ensure that nursing care is delivered in line with MSF protocols, ethical principles, and quality standards, while fostering a supportive, respectful, and learning‑oriented team environment.
You work closely with medical, pharmacy, mental health, and logistics teams to ensure integrated and patient‑centred care.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring quality, safety, and continuity of care in line with MSF guidelines
Coordinate team activities, including schedules, task allocation, coaching, and performance follow up
Support recruitment, onboarding, and capacity building of nursing staff
Promote infection prevention, proper use of equipment, and safe clinical practices
Work closely with other departments and contribute to reporting and project follow up
Promote MSF values, ethical standards, and a respectful work environment
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Nursing (registered nurse)
Solid clinical nursing experience, preferably in hospital or emergency settings
Previous experience supervising or coordinating nursing teams
French language skills at working proficiency (minimum B2 level)
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work in multicultural teams and under pressure
Commitment to humanitarian principles and MSF values
Willingness to work in challenging and resource‑limited environments
