Position Summary
Performs independent procedural and product audits of the repair station across all approved locations to ensure compliance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 145, the RSQCM and Forms Manual, EASA Special Conditions, and customer requirements. Operates the Quality Assurance System (QAS) required by §145.211 and the surveillance function for the Training Program required by §145.163. Classifies findings, issues and tracks Corrective Action Reports, and verifies that corrective action was effective before closure. Audits every Work Package that goes through the RSQCM process/procedures.

~1 min read- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters and audit findings.
- Recommend updates to company policies, procedures, and manuals to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Keep up to date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.
- Support the investigation of incidents and quality escapes to identify root causes and preventive measures.
- Maintain the approved vendor list.
- Ability to work in a safe, professional manner while adhering to FAA, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as needed.
- Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
- High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor Degree in Aviation preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Part 145 environment preferred.
- Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior auditor experience, or a minimum of 40 hours documented On-the-Job Training under a qualified auditor).
- Working command of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 145, with particular fluency in §145.163 (Training) and §145.211 (Quality Control System).
- Knowledge of the RSQCM, Forms Manual, EASA Special Conditions, and customer maintenance program requirements (NetJets GMM and equivalents).
- Ability to read maintenance records, task cards, work packages, approved data, calibration records, and release documentation well enough to determine conformity, not merely to confirm a field is populated.
- Root cause analysis capability (5-Why, fishbone, A3) and the ability to evaluate a department root cause submission and reject it where the analysis does not support the corrective action proposed.
- Structural independence from every function, procedure, and product line audited (RSQCM §8.16.4.6(3)); may not audit any function the individual is responsible for.
- Auditor Training Program completion and Special Authorization on the EEJS FLL Personnel Roster prior to performing an audit of record.
- Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and component maintenance shops.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations: FAA, NFPA, OSHA
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
- Ability to present and defend audit evidence to FAA principal inspectors, EASA surveillance, and customer quality auditors.
