Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support a dynamic HR function and contribute to the efficient delivery of HR services. The HR Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of HR operations by providing administrative, operational, and coordination support across the employee lifecycle. This position is ideal for an organized, people-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: Employee engagement activities including functions and team-building initiatives. Payroll and benefits administration support. Recruitment administration and logistics, including scheduling interviews, coordinating assessments, and conducting reference and qualification checks. General administrative support to the Head of HR. Updating HR policies, procedures, and protocols. Training and development coordination, including scheduling, record keeping, and documentation. Handling employee queries and providing general HR support. Ensuring HR and payroll compliance requirements are met. Performance management processes, including coordination, data updates, and trend tracking. Onboarding and exit processes, such as preparing documentation, coordinating medicals, maintaining records, and tracking probation periods. Internal communication initiatives such as staff meetings, newsletters, and internal platforms. Employee records management and leave administration. Requirements Human Resources Diploma/Degree. 3 years of experience in a similar role. Prior experience with Payroll and Benefit Administration. Proficient in MS Office. Valid Drivers License.
