XRD Application Scientist

Bruker AXS SE is now seeking an Application Scientist to support our portfolio of XRD systems in China. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role focused on providing high level of pre- and post-sales application-related technical expertise to resolve specific applications problems through consultation with customers during instrument investigation and training throughout the entire sales process.

As a XRD Application Scientist, your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• →Support pre- and after-sales XRD application activities.
• →Act as the technical expert, advising Sales and customers on system performance, capabilities, and suitability during the purchasing process.
• →Answer sales calls and presents technical aspects of products to potential customers and sales channels.
• →Maintains familiarity with the specifications and operation of competing products through training and self-learning.
• →Carries out customer’s on-site XRD application training, and office XRD training classes.  Technical supports for customers through phone calls or emails.
• →Perform sample analysis in collaboration with Sales and present measurement reports in a clear, professional manner.
• →Develop application-related materials such as presentations, scientific posters, and reports.
• →Support marketing activities, including meeting & Exhibition, workshop, seminar, webinar and other business development activities.

What do you need to be successful in this role? 

• PhD degree in Material Science, Physics or related fields.
• 2-5 years XRD operational experience. PhD graduates are welcome to apply if they have experience working on XRD in their research topics.
• A positive team player, self-motivated with strong analytical and learning skills.
• Good spoken and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and share knowledge effectively with fellow colleagues and customers.
• Willing to travel up to 50% and being able to engage with customers and teams from different cultures
• Good customer service mindset, capable of interacting with customers smoothly and confidently.
