Business Analyst

We’re looking for Business Analysts with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts network.

As a member of the team, you will work alongside our clients to help deliver products and solutions to meet business needs and help your teams deliver better. And, of course, all this happens in a consultative, collaborative fashion – in keeping with our values.

This role involves working in teams that use modern agile technical practices - including continuous integration and deployment and fast feedback loops - to deliver timely and pragmatic solutions, as well as helping others to do their jobs in a more effective way.

• →Work with the product owner and other subject matter experts to define features and products to build.
• →Enable and facilitate teams to deliver software products to achieve the client’s business outcomes.
• →Facilitate teams in-person and remotely, working with team-members from Equal Experts, the client and other suppliers.
• →Work with an array of roles including Technical, Business, Research and product stakeholders to align and enable them to achieve successful outcomes.
• →Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.

• Thrives on exploring the problem and can break it down into bite-size chunks. Makes data-driven decisions.
• Methodically approaches a task by understanding the big picture and then zooms in on the detail. Can navigate the detail without being overwhelmed by it and knows when there is enough detail to start.
• Can effectively immerse themselves into the business, building their knowledge of the business landscape and sharing this knowledge with the team.
• Focuses on the outcome and how the users and client will benefit from proposed solutions and/or approaches. Able to filter out the noise, collaborate with the client to prioritise based on what will bring the most value and successfully juggle multiple tasks. Can pivot when either priority or requirements change.
• Great communication skills, especially being an active listener, with exceptional presentation and visualisation skills. Confident in talking to a wide range of people through the team, client stakeholders and wider network.
• Runs focused interactive workshops, calls upon a wide range of tools and practices to keep people focused and engaged on the goal, and guides the conversation in a meaningful direction.
• Knows how to build good, solid, long-term relationships with business stakeholders, delivery team(s) and senior stakeholders.
• Has a technical appreciation of how the product or service is built and supported. Needs to be able to use, test and demonstrate it. Can relay the technical approach and explain basic concepts to others. Knows where to get deeper technical understanding if needed.
• Actively shares concepts such as ways of working, new tools and techniques, engagement intelligence with the team, client and the wider network. Continually looking for opportunities to coach/mentor client BAs and/or getting involved in facilitating or creating BA communities.
• Demonstrates the Equal Experts values and leads by example. Mindful about the legacy that Equal Experts are going to leave behind.
