~1 min readWe are looking for a Senior Desktop Support Analyst to join us in Chandigarh. This role sits within our Infrastructure team and provides hands-on technology support for more than 150 employees in our local office, with a focus on delivering a reliable, responsive service across our Windows and Microsoft environment.
This is a highly visible onsite role. You will be a key technical contact for employees, helping them resolve day-to-day technology issues, maintain access to business-critical tools and work effectively with global technology teams. The role is suited to someone who enjoys practical problem solving, takes ownership of user issues and can support a busy office environment with professionalism and urgency.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide onsite technical support for more than 150 employees, resolving hardware, software, access, network and connectivity issues in a timely and professional way.
- →Administer and support Windows environments, including Active Directory, DNS, user accounts, group policies and endpoint access.
- →Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune and user administration.
- →Manage the device lifecycle for laptops, desktops, peripherals and mobile devices, including provisioning, configuration, maintenance and replacement.
- →Troubleshoot issues across corporate devices, applications, printers, meeting room technology, VPN, Wi-Fi and office connectivity.
- →Maintain endpoint standards and support device management through tools such as Microsoft Intune or other MDM platforms.
- →Support identity and access management activities, including account setup, permissions, MFA and access reviews.
- →Work with global Infrastructure and Information Security teams to escalate, investigate and resolve more complex technical issues.
- →Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including endpoint hardening, patching, MFA and compliance policies.
- →Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to reduce disruption and improve the employee technology experience.
- →Coordinate with vendors when required to resolve hardware, infrastructure or service-related issues.
- →Contribute to documentation, knowledge articles and repeatable processes that improve support quality and consistency.
- 5+ years experience providing internal IT or end user technology support in a corporate Windows environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop support, Microsoft 365 administration and common enterprise collaboration tools.
- Experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, user access, group policies and identity management processes.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management, device provisioning and MDM tools, ideally including Microsoft Intune.
- A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, with the ability to troubleshoot common LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and techniques, such as Ping, Tracert, event logs, remote support tools and, where relevant, Wireshark.
- An understanding of security best practice, including MFA, endpoint hardening, patching and least-privilege access.
- Experience supporting meeting room technology, peripherals, printers and office-based user hardware.
- Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware would be beneficial.
- The ability to manage multiple support requests while keeping employees informed and maintaining service quality.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
- A dependable onsite presence, strong ownership of issues and a proactive approach to improving local technology support.
