Team Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager to join us in Bengaluru. Our Project Management Office supports the successful delivery of client and internal projects across our global business.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of project delivery in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where clear governance, stakeholder communication and delivery discipline are key. You will work closely with technology, operations, product, business and client-facing teams to ensure projects are well planned, clearly tracked and delivered in line with agreed timelines. In this role, you will be expected to independently manage projects, establish structured reporting and governance, proactively manage client and stakeholder expectations, and support effective risk management and release execution.
The work will contribute directly to our ability to support increasing project demand while maintaining strong delivery standards across our product and client delivery ecosystem. EquiLend supports the securities finance industry through Trading, Post-Trade, Data & Analytics, RegTech and Platform Solutions.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of projects, ensuring milestones, actions and deliverables are tracked through to completion.
- Build and maintain project plans, trackers, dashboards, status reports and governance materials that provide clear visibility on progress, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Drive project governance through regular status meetings, stakeholder updates and project review forums.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks and issues, escalating concerns promptly and supporting timely resolution.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations across internal teams and external clients through clear, structured and timely communication.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across technology, operations, product, business and client-facing teams to align delivery activity with project goals.
- Coordinate release planning and execution activities, ensuring readiness, communication and implementation steps are clearly understood.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal leadership, client stakeholders and project governance forums.
- Support adherence to PMO delivery frameworks, project standards and governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as an interface to the client where required, providing project updates, managing expectations and addressing concerns in a timely and accountable manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve project tracking, reporting and delivery consistency as project volume increases across the India region.
- Help distribute project management capacity across regions by providing local delivery support for India-based and global project activity.
What we need
- 4+ years’ experience in project management, project coordination, PMO delivery or a comparable role within a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, milestone tracking, governance, risk management, issue management and dependency management.
- Experience managing smaller projects or defined workstreams independently, with clear ownership of delivery timelines and stakeholder communication.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear project trackers, reports and presentation materials.
- Working knowledge of project reporting, dashboarding or data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms would be beneficial.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage several ongoing projects, actions and priorities in parallel.
- Confidence leading project status meetings, governance calls and stakeholder updates.
- Ability to identify risks, dependencies and delivery blockers early and support practical mitigation plans.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders across technology, operations, product, business and client-facing teams.
- Professional and confident when engaging with external clients, including providing status updates and managing expectations.
- Experience supporting release planning, implementation coordination or production readiness activities would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with investment banking, securities lending, capital markets or financial technology is preferred.
