Level 2 Virtualization Engineer (all humans)

We are seeking a Level 2 Virtualization Engineer to provide technical support and operational support for virtualization platforms. The role focuses on maintaining stable environments, resolving issues, and supporting improvements across VMware and/or OpenShift Virtualization systems. Experience with infrastructure automation is beneficial.

• Provide Level 2 support for VMware and/or OpenShift Virtualization platforms

• Troubleshoot issues in VMware vSphere, vCenter, or OpenShift Virtualization environments

• Support the design and implementation of virtualization solutions

• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability

• Identify and implement improvements to virtualization environments

• Work with Level 3 engineers and other IT teams to resolve complex issues

• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

• Contribute to automation efforts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools

• Active working experience for 2+ years with VMware virtualization or OpenShift Virtualization

• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, or equivalent OpenShift components

• Understanding of storage and networking in virtualized environments

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)

• Experience troubleshooting virtualization platforms

• Familiarity with Veeam (preferred)

• Professional proficiency in English, German is beneficial

• A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - we are obliged by law to quote the minimum wage of EUR 3000,- gross per month for this full time position.
