We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced certified Actuary to join our dynamic team for commercial health insurance underwriting. This role reports to the Chief Actuary. The ideal candidate will be an actuary with a deep understanding of commercial health insurance underwriting, capable of working closely with sales teams in competitive situations, and proficient in interpreting underlying claims experience for various groups. Should have experience with clinical data and related analytics to recognize catastrophic versus chronic or spot outliers of prevalence of common disease states and comorbidities (e.g. hypertension and diabetes). While this is a remote role, you must reside in the United States and in the Eastern or Central time zone.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Credentials: Professional actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, FSA) are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial health insurance underwriting (not Medicare, Medicaid, or individual market/ACA plans).
- Experience working with sales teams in competitive situations is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and risk assessment
- Ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Familiarity with underwriting software and tools
