AI Enablement Specialist (TechOps) - South Bank, QLD
Quick Summary
Supply is approaching AI on three fronts in parallel, people (build AI fluency in everyone), process (sharpen what already works), and platform (rebuild what doesn't).

At Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) our purpose is to 'open up the world for those who want to see'. Every day, we give people all around the world the opportunity to experience something really amazing – travel!
AI is reshaping the work we do, managing product delivery, systems support, and platform operations in ways we can't fully predict. Wait until it's obvious and we've already lost ground.
So, we're building something different. AI in large organisations usually fails in a predictable way: a strategy, a pilot, an offsite, no measurable change in how work gets done. The AI Enablement Specialist is the role that aims to break that pattern.
You'll work across FCTG in Supply Operations & Technology - working with internal stakeholders in Support, Product Management, and Systems - close enough to see how the work happens, trusted enough that people show you the workarounds, and sharp enough to turn what you see into AI solutions.
Day to day: Supply is approaching AI on three fronts in parallel, people (build AI fluency in everyone), process (sharpen what already works), and platform (rebuild what doesn't). The Specialist role spans all three:
You'll deliver through three engines:
- Enable: Put tools like Claude to work immediately - build fluency as you go. Spot a manual reconciliation costing the team hours each week and deploy a solution within days.
- Augment: Sharpen what already works. Define and own the use cases that need workflow automation or custom tooling, partnering with the AI delivery squad to deliver them.
- Reinvent: Rebuild what doesn't work, from the ground up. Surface the patterns that should become core platform features and push them through Product governance.
You'll be a strong fit if you have:
- 2+ years' experience working alongside Product and Technology teams, in the same or similar role
- Experience in business process improvement and workflow redesign
- Proven experience translating business problems into technology or AI solutions
- An open, ambitious mindset on AI, you back yourself to learn the tools fast and put them to work, even if you're not deep in them today
- Operational instincts from working close to the front line or customer facing environments
- Commercial sharpness, you can tell the difference between an interesting AI demo and something that moves EBIT
The brief - AI Enablement Specialists are already embedded across our Air, Land & Finance divisions. If you want to shape how AI lands in a business, not just talk about it - this is the role!
