About the Role

~1 min read

Are you a data-driven compliance professional who thrives on turning insight into action? This is a key role in shaping a future-focused compliance culture across our Co Operative.

As our Senior Compliance Analyst, you’ll be part of a small Legal & Compliance team, helping to deliver and continuously improve our Compliance Framework.

You’ll be the go-to expert for compliance data and analysis—providing valuable insights, identifying risks, and driving improvements that ensure we meet our regulatory obligations with confidence and precision.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how compliance is embedded across the business while working cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a trusted advisor and compliance champion across the business
  • Analyse and interpret compliance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with stakeholders to design, document, and improve processes and controls
  • Identify compliance gaps and drive action plans for improvement
  • Develop audit protocols, questionnaires, and reporting frameworks
  • Work closely with IT and Data & Analytics teams to enhance systems and reporting capability
  • Influence and embed best-practice policies, standards, and risk management approaches
  • Support compliance-related projects across the organisation

You bring 8-10+ years of experience in data analysis within risk and compliance environments, with a strong ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data. You’ve developed audit frameworks, controls, or compliance protocols, and have a solid understanding of risk management, controls testing, and broader compliance frameworks.

You’re a proven trusted advisor, confident in influencing business decisions and working with senior stakeholders. Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to clearly articulate insights and drive alignment across teams.

Highly organised and self-motivated, you can work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and deliver at pace. You’re naturally curious, with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for identifying better ways of working.

We’re proud to have a focus on Diversity & Inclusion here at Foodies and welcome courageous behaviour, encourage togetherness, inspire our people to be their best selves in our Foodies whānau.

We encourage you to apply with all your awesomeness and welcome your diverse background, including any disability, additional health and mental health needs, and/or neurodiversity.
