Data Architect/Data Modeler

We make finding and retaining experienced software talent easy and affordable. Position Summary: We are looking for a Data Architect to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about designing scalable data solutions, defining strong data structures, and partnering closely with technical and business teams to support enterprise data initiatives. You will be involved in shaping data models, guiding warehouse design, and helping ensure reliable, well-structured data flows across systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain enterprise data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models for analytics and operational use cases. Define and support dimensional modeling approaches for data warehouses, data marts, and related reporting structures. Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions. Create and refine source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data flow documentation across multiple data layers. Partner with development teams to validate data movement, transformation rules, and model alignment from source through warehouse layers. Support modernization and migration efforts involving cloud-based data platforms, lakehouse architectures, and evolving enterprise data environments. Promote data standards, architectural patterns, and best practices for quality, consistency, performance, and maintainability. Requirements Experience in data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data warehouse design. Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts, including fact and dimension design and slowly changing dimensions. Proficient in SQL and comfortable using it for data analysis, profiling, validation, and transformation review. Familiar with source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and documenting complex data flows across multiple systems. Exposure to cloud or modern data platforms, such as Azure-based environments, lakehouse architectures, or similar technologies. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, integration patterns, and working with structured and semi-structured data formats such as XML. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating architectural decisions clearly. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to existing standards, patterns, and business processes.
