Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients. Ensure timely and accurate lodgment of all tax returns and other compliance documents with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it) is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Australian tax compliance.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients.
- →Ensure timely and accurate lodgment of all tax returns and other compliance documents with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
- →Conduct thorough reviews of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian tax regulations.
- →Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, helping them understand their tax obligations and optimize their tax position.
- →Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- →Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients, managing correspondence and resolving any issues that arise.
- →Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in Australian tax legislation and ensure clients are informed of relevant updates.
- →Collaborate with other team members to support client needs and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Requirements

- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it) is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Australian tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations, including BAS, IAS, and ATO lodgments.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
